Recent years have seen the emergence of another popular destination: Drios, at 20 km from Parikia. Although the village has a tourist infrastructure, it has lost neither its traditional Cycladic “colour” nor its serenity. Guests can enjoy walks in the village and relish the unforgettable imagery. Cafes and taverns are only a 10-minute walk away. The food is exquisite whether at a tavern by the sea or in the center of the village.
There are many beaches around the settlement of Drios, the most popular been Golden Beach, the largest beach of Paros. Right next to Golden Beach you can visit the New Golden Beach where many surfing tournaments are held.
